A native of Rivière-du-Loup, Rémi Massé was a public servant and executive in the federal public service for 16 years before becoming the executive director of Cégep de Matane.

In 2015, he was elected Member of Parliament for Avignon–La Mitis–Matane–Matapédia, and appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development until 2019. After his time in politics, he served as CEO of Meridien Maritime, a company specializing in ship design, building and repair.

Since 2021, he has been the managing director at Halles d’Innovation et de Formation Avancée (HIFA), an innovation centre whose main objective is to accelerate the digital transformation of manufacturing companies through robotics and automation while developing the skills of workers. Rémi earned a bachelor’s degree and completed graduate studies in linguistics at Université de Sherbrooke. He is the proud father of four sons.
